A New Era!
I'm so happy to announce that Hale Fire Glass has taken me to a new place in my career! After nearly 5 years as a retail and teaching facility, I am moving and changing my studio to a full-time production and teaching situation.
Over the last two years I have been approached by a number of galleries that have requested my jewelry. Due to the time constraints of running a retail business, it was impossible to meet that demand. Since early fall this year, I have been blessed (and humbled!) by so many requests for my work from art galleries across the country that I finally decided to chase that dream. Offers to teach are pouring in, too, so this will free me up to travel extensively and share the excitement of playing with fire!
Plans are in the works for a 2 week trip to Ireland in late May and a return trip to host a bead retreat in the fall. Details for the fall trip will be posted here along with several other trips, retreats, and classes that are in the planning stages.
I will also be much more active now that I'm President of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers (ISGB). Those of you who know me well realize how much this organization means to me and how I look forward to working with and for this amazing group of people from all over the world.
I will miss the scores of customers (friends!) who came into the shop in downtown Madison. You have no idea how much your support and kindness means to me. But please don't think you won't see me again -- there are plans underway for some very unique shopping opportunities. I hope you'll check back here often as I will post them here.
