What could be better than a week of making glass beads and touring the Irish countryside?

The Magic of Glass, Fire & Precious Metals will be a study in the use of fine silver, gold, palladium and copper in making glass beads. We'll experiment to learn how the glass reacts to the leaf, foils, wire, mesh and more.

In addition to these classes, we'll have plenty of time to see the "real" Ireland. Michael Joe, our guide, grew up in County Mayo and will delight you with stories of life in the wild west of Ireland. We plan to visit Achill Island, enjoy local music in the pubs of Galway, tour one of pirate queen Grace O'Malley's castles, see the famous Harry Clarke stained glass windows in Newport, and the ruins of Burrishoole Abbey.
